Trichuris Trichiura is known more commonly as the whipworm. This type of parasite is usually found in the intestines of dogs, cats, and humans. Due to its whip like shape it gets the name whipworm. The whipworm seems to be more common in warmer areas and the only way to get infected by it, is to ingest either the worms or the eggs. Using the nervous system the whipworms are able gain knowledge of where they are in the body and bury into the intestines to infect its prey. It is okay to have a few whipworms in your body, but if too many are present you might begin to experience some signs of infection.
