the Blue Garden Flatworm
More commonly known as the Blue Garden Flatworm, this species is a terrestrial (land) species of flatworm. Thriving in mostly New Zealand and Australia, it has been accidentally introduced to the United States, more specifically warmer wetter states. The Blue Garden Flatworm lives usually along the floors of rainforests and does most of its hunting after a rainstorm. Similar to every other Platyhelminthes species the nervous system of the Blue Garden Flatworms the same as any other flatworm. It uses its nerve cords to sense and adjust to its environment in order to obtain food and move from place to place.
