Nematodes
Nematodes are the most numerous multicellular organisms in the world. Nematodes are basically microscopic worms found living in the a myriad of places. In fact they are one of the most diverse types of phyla ecologically. There are over 20,000 classified species of Nematodes. Nematodes do contain a nervous system that stems from a rear nerve ring deep inside the mouth cavity. From the rear nerve ring two pairs of nerve cords run through the body. These as well as dorsal (back) and ventral (stomach) nerve cords move sensory information throughout the body and coordinate movement. Sensory receptors make the Nematodes capable of achieving the five senses. Due to the biological makeup of Nematodes they are difficult to understand from a species perspective.
