Echinodermata
Members of the phylum echinodermata are called echinoderms. All echinoderms are based on five point symmetry and use proteins to lock their arms into place for hours, something our muscles could never do. Echinoderms rely on a nerve ring to move their arms. They also have hydraulically powered tube feet that are sensory organs that "taste" the water looking for food. The three main types of echinoderms are sea stars, urchins, and sea cucumbers. Sea stars have special light sensing sensory organs that allow them to detect the difference between light and dark.
